New features for synchronizations and time recording as well as an outlook to the LDI in Las Vegas
Dear clients,
the year is slowly but surely drawing to a close, but the big highlight of the year is still to come: we are delighted to be represented this year for the first time with a booth at Live Design International (LDI) in Las Vegas from December 3 to 5.
Before that, we have once again prepared an update to CrewBrain (probably the last one for this year), which we would like to present to you in detail in this update info. Among other things, the update contains enhancements in the areas of rental management synchronizations, time recording, tasks management and many more and will be available to you as usual from tomorrow.
We wish you continued success with CrewBrain.
Your CrewBrain team
Time recordingAs usual, we have made some enhancements and optimizations in time recording. |
|
Minimum working time for surchargesIn some cases, surcharges should only be paid out if, for example, at least two hours are relevant for bonuses. This can now be configured via a minimum time in the wage and salary components. |
Break deductionWhen deducting breaks, CrewBrain takes a so-called sliding zone into account by default. This means that if an employee exceeds the relevant working time, the entire break is not deducted immediately. Instead, the next few minutes are added to the break until the threshold value is reached. If desired, the immediate full deduction of breaks can now also be configured. |
Wage types for payoutsFor payments, a category can now also be selected from the wage and salary components. This in turn can hide a wage type (e.g. for the payroll system) so that payments are also transferred to the respective system for payroll accounting. |
Non-wage labor costs as percentageUntil now, it was only possible to specify the non-wage labor costs in absolute terms. In future, it will also be possible to enter a percentage so that CrewBrain can calculate the value individually. |
Tasks for base data typesTask management has enjoyed steadily growing popularity since its introduction. While projects and jobs already automatically have their own task list, this was not previously the case for base data objects. |
|
Base data typesFrom this version onwards, a separate task list is now also available in the base data for each employee, freelancer and service provider, as well as for each vehicle, customer and location. HR tasks and other relevant matters can be stored there, for example. |
Access to tasksWe have introduced a separate right for access to tasks, which can be assigned via the user groups. In this way, access to the tasks can be individually regulated for the individual master data types. |
Synchronization with rental management systemsThe many synchronizations with the various rental management systems are very popular in CrewBrain. For this reason, we are regularly expanding the options. |
|
EpirentFor Epirent, it is now also possible to map transports to vehicle categories. In this way, the vehicle requirements already planned in Epirent can also be transferred to the projects and jobs in CrewBrain. |
EasyjobOur direct Easyjob connection has left the beta phase and is now available as a stable version. In contrast to the more extensive integration of Mines-Service, data can only be retrieved from Easyjob via our direct interface, but since we use the official Easyjob API, the setup effort is less. |
Azure authenticationSince the beginning of the year, we have already been offering the option of processing logins via Microsoft Azure. The functionality is now fully integrated into the desktop version and our app, so we can now finalize the functionality for the time being. |
|
Block "normal" loginIf the login is carried out via Microsoft Azure, it is now also possible to block the "normal" login. In this case, users can no longer log in with their user name and password. As external users also use the system in most cases, this setting must be made at user level in the master data. |
Alternative e-mail addressIn some cases, the e-mail address for the Azure login differs from the e-mail address used in CrewBrain. In this case, the Azure e-mail address can now be stored in the "User name" field in the base data and the Azure authentication also assigns this correctly. |
Further optimizationsAs usual, we have also made further optimizations in the system, which we would also like to present to you. |
|
Filters in overviewsA "Not on vacation" option has been added to the filter in the various calendar overviews for restricting employees. In this way, the view can be restricted to those employees who are not on vacation or absent. |
Wage and salary components for statementsThe wage and salary components from time recording can now also be used in statements. In this way, more complex calculations for surcharges are also possible, although the range of functions is still limited compared to time recording (e.g. no consideration across job boundaries).
|
Colored categoriesIt has long been possible to assign specific colors to staff categories in CrewBrain. The system now also displays these directly in the jobs and in the weekly view in the calendar to facilitate visual assignment. |
Filter in the subjobsThe filter options in the sub-jobs have been expanded to include options for the employee categories. For example, it is now only possible to display sub-jobs in the list that require at least one sound engineer. |
