New API interface and many other optimizations for CrewBrain
New API interface and many other optimizations for CrewBrain
Dear clients,
most of the festival season is already behind us and most of us are back in the office - time to get ready for the end of the year. Our development team has also been busy over the summer and has completed a comprehensive new CrewBrain version.
This time, the majority of the changes are somewhat hidden. For example, we are currently working on a new API interface for CrewBrain, which will make accessing data in CrewBrain even more convenient in future. Nevertheless, we have also implemented some enhancements, for example in time recording.
In this update info we would like to present these changes to you in the usual format. The new CrewBrain version will be available to all customers as usual from tomorrow.
We wish you continued success with CrewBrain
Your CrewBrain team
New APIAn open API interface is essential for the exchange of data between different systems. CrewBrain has already had an extensive and well-documented API for years. Nevertheless, we have decided to create a new version 2 of the API, which, for example, also maps the OpenAPI specifications and is therefore even easier to use. |
|
Activate the APIThe new API is automatically active in all accounts parallel to the current API. The new API is currently still under development, which is why the available endpoints are still somewhat limited. We will gradually expand and optimize the API in the coming versions. |
API documentationThe documentation is written as an OpenAPI specification and can be read directly in the API on your account. Simply replace “demo” in the following link with your account subdomain: https://demo.crewbrain.com/api/v2/ |
Switch to the new APIYou can switch to the new API for your integrations at any time. However, as the API is currently still under development, we cannot completely rule out the possibility that general changes will have to be made and that the structure will therefore still change slightly. |
Support for the current APIThe current API interface will continue to be supported in the future and there are currently no plans to end this support. It is therefore not absolutely necessary to switch to the new API. |
Time recordingAs in every CrewBrain version, we have once again made some optimizations and enhancements to our time recording system. |
|
Unexcused AbsencesUnexcused absences in particular can now be recorded with a separate time category. This then ensures that the absences are automatically deducted from the target hours in the time recording and the salary can therefore be reduced. |
13-week averageFor the 13-week average when calculating vacation and sick days, it is now possible to enter contractually agreed minimum hours. If the current average is below these hours, the value of the minimum hours is automatically taken into account. |
Quarterly cappingIn addition to the already possible capping on a daily or monthly basis, a cap per quarter can also be defined in future. In this way, employees' overtime can be contractually limited to a certain maximum value per quarter, for example. |
Copy working hoursWhen copying working hours in jobs, the employees of a subcontractor can now be specifically selected or deselected. In this way, working times can be copied quickly and selectively. |
Easyjob-Sync (Protonic)We have also significantly expanded synchronization with Easyjob in this version. In addition to the transfer of documents, it is now also possible to transfer the availability of employees from CrewBrain back to Easyjob. |
|
AvailabilityThe availability and booking status from CrewBrain can now be automatically transferred to Easyjob. This function must be activated individually, after which every change in CrewBrain is transferred to Easyjob within 2-3 minutes and the status in Easyjob is updated. |
DocumentsDocuments and attachments from Easyjob projects can now also be transferred to CrewBrain if this function is activated in the sync settings. |
ResourcesThe entire resource list from Easyjob (personnel & vehicles) will also be able to be transferred completely and directly from Easyjob in future (not just by using it). This requires an Easyjob plugin from Mines Service, which will be available shortly. If you are interested, please contact our support team. |
Dashboard - Pending approvalsIn the "pending approvals" widget, times, vacations and other data records can now be approved directly in the widget without having to switch to sub-dialogs. In this way, different employees can also be approved or rejected at the same time. |
Projects & Jobs - Quick entryAdditional fields from the additional information can now also be displayed in the quick entry for jobs & sub-jobs. To do this, under Settings > Jobs > Additional information, the checkbox for fast entry must be activated for the desired additional information. In this way, relevant information can be stored directly in the quick entry for jobs & sub-jobs in future. |
Other extensionsIn addition to the enhancements already mentioned, there have of course also been many small optimizations. |
